Baptism is a time for celebration and joy because the newly baptised become members of God's family, the Church.

Baptism, requires a special level of commitment from both the child and their parents. It is important for families to understand the commitment they will undertake over the coming years.  This is the reason why the Church asks parents to attend a course or meet with the Parish Priest regarding the responsibilities of baptism. 
Follow these steps to arrange your child's Baptism:
  1. Contact the Parish Priest after Sunday Mass, or by telephone (01922 476765) or by using the submission form opposite.
  2. Complete the Baptism Enquiry Form (collect from Church) or download (opposite) and return to the Parish Priest after Sunday Mass.
  3. Arrange a Baptism preparation meeting with the Parish Priest when returning the Enquiry Form.
Please note: there is an administration fee for baptisms.  Also there is a fee for the re-issuing of lost baptism certificates.

Baptisms at the Parish Church of Saint Peter's are usually celebrated on a Sunday at 11.45am onwards.  However, it is possible to have a baptism during the weekend masses.
